We are proud to announce that the adoption of the Kaudwane Primary School is final. This was an important administrative step in our project, at it is required by the Ministry of Education in Botswana for the construction of the library. The starting fee for each participant included a fixed donation, as well as money to cover our costs. After close cooperation with a German architect firm who were willing to provide us with the architectural plans as a donation in kind, we are proud to present the first draft of construction plans. The library is supposed to provide space for between 30-40 people at a time. The roofed area outside of the building also provides a shaded space for quite reading and learning. In the beginning of May, Maximilian and Gilles made their first trip to Kaudwane, Botswana in order to meet the country and especially the Kaudwane community. Their goal of finding a project, which the two students can relate to, was successful. Therefore, the self-financed trip was a complete success. Max und Gilles were amazed by the friendliness and open-mindedness of the people in Botswana and the direct, full, constructive cooperation with the Kaudwane community members.
